History reveals that in year 430 B.C. the Boeotian Greeks sculpted and painted wooden ducks and used them in the capture of wild ducks that were to be cooked and served for royalty at the Athenian banquets. Decoys, however, date as far back as 1300 B.C. as they were discovered in Egyptian tombs.
The most beautiful decoys have always been kept by noblemen with pride. Nowadays, more and more people show interest in collecting decoys. Their interest pays tribute to most classical and contemporary sculptures such as the Waterfowl Collectionmc.
